- The Killing Heidi Realm: Number
5 for Heidi?<return to top> It seems Killing Heidi are currently looking
for a new member.
In order to emulate the next Killing Heidi record
live in concert, the band is looking for a keyboard player whom
would have to play keyboards and sing back-up vocals live. At the
recent Forest Rally gig, Adam provided the back-up vocals.
The keyboardist would have to be able to tour for
the rest of 2002, so it looks like a big tour is coming up.
Also, the band is looking for a photographer, and
a film-clip producer ..in time for the next two Killing Heidi singles.

- The Killing Heidi Realm: Forest
Killing<return to top> Killing Heidi stepped out of the shadows
today to perform at a concert rally aimed at saving Victoria's old-growth
forests.
The concert and rally, which started from 11am, also
featured the Scared Weird Little Guys, and Kutcha Edwards.
Killing Heidi performed 2 sets acoustically, with
first set consisting of Live Without It, and Sweet. Between the
sets there were various guest-speakers, as well as other musical
act Kutcha Edwards.
Killing Heidi soon returned to the stage, and
this time performed Burnt, It's Not Fair, Taxi Driver, Ba Da, War
Town, Heavensent, and old-time favorite Weir. It's interesting to
note, that Adam provided the back-up vocals for various songs and
he sounded great, accompanying Ella extremely well.
The whole concert was being recorded for use on the
next Killing Heidi single, tentivily titled 'Its Not Fair', and
is scheduled for release around July. The follow up new album is
expected to be released around August/September.
A special thanks once again to the members of Killing
Heidi, their new tour manager Jo (Ann Gibson is no longer playing
that role), Jenny, Steven, Marc, and anyone else whom I may have
bumped into.

- Beat.com.au: At the APRA Launch<return to top> Drama at the APRA nominations launch in Sydney
last week regarded Killing Heidi, who were performing and reading
out the nominees list with Eric McCusker.
Heidi’s bassist (Warren Jenkins) missed his flight
up from Melbourne that morning. He was bringing up Jesse Hooper’s
guitar so Hooper had to get a store to deliver an axe so he could
soundcheck. The bassist arrived half an hour before proceedings.
McCusker told the crowd that years back he marked
Jesse Hooper’s HSC music exam - and gave him a good mark. The Hoopers
also had a connection with another nominee, Graeham Goble of LRB
fame who was up for Madison Avenue’s version of “Reminiscing”. In
their early days, they’d done some demos at Goble’s home studio.
