What is the simple Gospel? The simple Gospel the what Jesus preached and also instructed his disciples to preach 2000 years ago. It is NOT the Gospel being taught in most churches today. 1Cor 1:21 Because all the wisdom which God had given was not sufficient for the world to know God, it pleased God to save those who believe by the simple gospel. ( Aramaic text) Mt 9:35 And Jesus travelled in all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of sickness and disease.
Mt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all the nations; then the end will come.
This answers already that that simple gospel is THE GOSPEL of the KINGDOM Mt 26:13 And truly I say to you, Wherever this my gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told as a memorial to her. Mr 1:1 THE beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Now we see that that gospel is also HIS Gospel
Mr 1:8 I have baptised you with water; but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit. The gospel includes water baptism and and baptism with the Holy Spirit Mr 1:11 And a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son, I am pleased with you. Now we see that that gospel is also HIS Gospel The gospel includes also that JESUS is the son of GOD Mr 1: 15 Saying, The time has come to an end, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel. Now we see that that gospel is also HIS Gospel The gospel includes also that JESUS is the son of GOD So far the gospel also includes the knowledge that the Kingdom of GOD is at hand Mr 1:17 And Jesus said to them. Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Now we see that that gospel is also HIS Gospel The gospel includes also that JESUS is the son of GOD So far the gospel also includes the knowledge that the Kingdom of GOD is at hand HE invites, we accept and He would make us fishers of men. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, My son, your sins are forgiven. Now we see the healing coming into the picture Mr 1:15 Saying, The time has come to an end, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel. Here is stated that we have to believe in that Gospel of JESUS CHRIST Mr 8:35 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of my gospel will save it. If we therefore because of this gospel loose our lives, we will save our lives Mr 10:29 Jesus answered and said, Truly I say to you, There is no man who leaves houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of my gospel, Mr 10:30 Who shall not receive now, in this time a hundredfold, houses and brothers and sisters and maidservants and children and fields and other worldly things, and in the world to come life everlasting. Wow, oh boy, what do these 2 verses actually say? It says that if…one is willing to sell houses or lands (fields) or leave father or mother or brother or sister (in other words become the black sheep and give up parents or children for His sake) and other worldly things for the sake of the GOSPEL, would now (in this life or lifetime) gain it all back a hundredfold AND….in the world to come gain eternal life. Oh boy what a promise. But it also says that is for THIS GOSPEL, no OTHER gospel. Mr 13:10 But my gospel must first be preached among all nations. Mr 14::9 And truly I say to you, Wherever this my gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told as a memorial to her. Mr 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world and preach my gospel to the whole creation. Lu 9:6 And the apostles went out, and traveled in villages and cities, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. Here we have an interesting fact, here we see that THIS gospel has to be preached to all the world, yet we also see that they did not only preach that gospel, but also performed healings everywhere. Does this now mean that you cannot go and preach without that healing? I personally believe that one should not preach without the sign of power which is healing. Why do I believe that? I believe that because Matthew said so and so did Luke. Mt 4:23 And Jesus travelled throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and sickness among the people. Mt 9:35 And Jesus travelled in all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of sickness and disease. Lu 9:6 And the apostles went out, and travelled in villages and cities, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. Lu 9:11 When the people found it out, they went after him; and he received them, and spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God, and he healed those who were in need of healing. Ac 20:24 But to me my life is nothing: I am not afraid. I desire only that I may finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received from our Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. This verse tells us that Peter is not afraid to even loose his life. His only wish is to finish his course with joy and to testify the gospel of the GRACE of God. Ro 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God to salvation to every one who believes, whether they are Jews first, or Arameans (Syrians). This says that the gospel of Christ = the POWER of GOD to Salvation 1Co 1:21 Because all the wisdom which God had given was not sufficient for the world to know God, it pleased God to save those who believe by the simple gospel. Men kind is saved by believing this SIMPLE gospel 1Co 9:14 Even so has our Lord commanded that those who preach his gospel should live by his gospel. Here a warning for those that preach HIS gospel. You should not only preach HIS gospel, but also live by that gospel. Many potential saved souls are lost because of the hypocrisy in the church. 1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for I am under obligation; yea, woe to me if I preach not the gospel! 1Co 9:18 What then is my wage? This is it. When I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, I do it without thought of recompense, and I have not abused the power given to me in the gospel. Pastors and evangelists should take this verse to heart. When Paul preached the gospel, there was no thought at all of recompense and they are not to abuse the power given to them. 2Co 4:3 If our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those who are lost, If this gospel is hidden for you, then you are lost. Ponder on that. Ga 1:6 I am surprised how soon you have turned to another gospel, away from Christ who has called you by his grace, Ga 1:7 A gospel which does not even exist; howbeit, there are men who have stirred you up and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. Ga 1:8 But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. Ga 1:9 As I have said before, so say I now again, If any man preaches any other gospel to you than that you have received, let him be accursed. Ga 1:11 But I want you to know, my brethren, that the gospel which I preached was not from men. Here a stern warning that Christianity today does not want to accept. The gospel preached today in the the churches is not THIS gospel. and although it might look like that, it is NOT. It is a changed gospel, where the Sabbath is so called a sin (not really a sin, but you know how I mean), where the 10 commandments (the moral law is done away with, where people are not allowed to eat or drink certain foods, where non biblical doctrines have crept in, a gospel which has become difficult rather than simple) Eph 6:15 And have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; And here we see that same gospel as a gospel of peace. Php 4:17 I do not say this because I want a gift, but because I want to see the fruits of the gospel increased to you. And here we have that your gospel is also God's gospel, because Paul wanted to see the fruits increased. If it is your gospel, no good fruits will be increased. Re 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people, And here we see that the gospel is an everlasting gospel. So let us compile that all. This answers already that that simple gospel is THE GOSPEL of the KINGDOM The gospel includes water baptism and baptism with the Holy Spirit Now we see that that gospel is also HIS Gospel The gospel includes also that JESUS is the son of GOD So far the gospel also includes the knowledge that the Kingdom of GOD is at hand HE invites, we accept and He would make us fishers of men.
