Re 17:5 And upon her forehead was a
name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.
Before we even begin to understand this verse first we
must have a knowledge of the four main words used, which are as follows:
 | Mystery; basically means 'secretive' and in this case
means an institution operated on hidden agenda |
| Mother ; the bible often refers to the church as a
woman, so in this case mother would mean the head of all churches. |
| Harlot ; a woman who is unfaithful and in this
case means a church who is unfaithful to God. |
| Abomination; an atrocity or disgusting act and in this
case means something so immoral and filthy dirty that God can not look upon.

- The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) has been, and
still is, shrouded in so much secret that the only way their evil ways have
been revealed is by the defecting of some very few conscientious and God
fearing Priests and Jesuits, otherwise very little would be known of the inner
circle within this Babylonian belief system who claim to be the only true
church. Around 1999 four Jesuit priests turned against the RCC and ran for
their lives in fear off assassination. Sounds all too much like a spy fiction?
Well please read books like "Vatican assassins" and "50 years in the Roman
Catholic Church", and even "The two Babylons" written over 200 years ago, and
there you will see for yourself first hand knowledge of inside the RCC.
Anyway, getting back to the story, three of these ex-Jesuit priests have since
met foul play in the worst possible manner, and the forth is still in hiding
fearing for his life as he prepares to expose even more atrocities of this so
called 'Mother' church. In researching the background of the many "idols" of
this church, you will discover endless amounts of mystery behind each and
every one of them. To mention a few...crescent moon, Mary statue, the wooden
cross, church steeple, rosary beads, trinity, and sun worship. There are way
to many, and too much information to add here, so either do your own sincere
research or wait until I get around to writing a lesson on it.
- God has used the word 'mother' here to represent a
apostate church (often referred to a woman by God, hence the term mother)
institution who has taken on pagan worship and practices, to gather together
as many as would follow blindly their doctrines. The reason God chose the word
'mother' is because he knew she would give birth to a new range of daughter
churches that she could manipulate and control. Another mystery worth knowing
is the part that the RCC plays in the "World Council of Churches"...she
actually FORMED it and secretly has the casting vote so to speak.
Another reason for the word mother is the fact that a mother will always
support her daughters, and that is exactly what the RCC does with almost ALL
denominations in one shape or form. According to ex priests and Jesuits,
Jesuit priests are planted in all denominations of Protestant churches to
infiltrate as sheep in wolves clothing and sooner or later take over that
church...all under the veil of secrecy. Why else would you think a protestant
church would willfully join an organization such as the WCC knowing the RCC
plays a pivotal role in it? See this link for
members of the WCC and see for yourself if your church is amongst them. If it
isn't, then don't get too cocky, it soon will be. So you can now see that even
though she (RCC) is not mother of ALL harlots yet...she soon will be.
- In our everyday language, a harlot is a female (she)
who is unfaithful to her husband or fiancé. As you should already well know,
we believers in Jesus Christ are His bride and soon to be His wife. We are
betrothed to Him according to the new testament covenant on condition we are
loyal to Him only. This is to say we are to be obedient to HIS gospel and no
other. This is made extremely plain and easy to understand in the word of God.
Those who take on a different gospel, i.e. like worship of any other than
Jesus or idol worship for example, then become apostate and are refused an
invitation to the weeding feast. To learn more about this please understand
the parable of the wedding invitation in Mathew. These apostates, who were
once loyal to the groom, are now labeled harlots for sleeping with other gods.
Is your church sleeping with the Roman Catholic church? Have you noticed the
leniency shown toward them over the last 30 years by all denominations when
prior ALL protestants regarded her as the beast? If you are of God you will
come out of her, and that means from the harlot churches as well as the mother
church.
- This brings us to the reason WHY God is so angry with
the passionate churches. The things they do make Him vomit with sick stomach.
Have you ever had a separation with a long time partner or husband/wife? Can
you recall that sickness of the stomach that would prevent you from eating for
days on end? The millions of tears that flowed because you KNEW this was the
end, and the many many sleepless nights that followed for months and even
years. well this is the SAME feeling our Lord Jesus has when He looses one of
His sheep. His Fiancé. The fact that He laid down His OWN life for us shows
how much He loves us, so when we are unfaithful, naturally this ABOMINATION
cuts to the quick of Jesus. Now it is worth noting here that it isn't really
the harlots that are committing the abominations, but rather the "mother"
(RCC), but the fact all other denominations follow her, makes them still
liable. Its kind like even though one might just be a joy rider in a stolen
car and NOT the one who stole it...the law still recognizes that one as a
crime liken to the thief. If you are just a babe in Christ you probably won't
be familiar with the abominations of the RCC, so please spend some time on the
Catholic encyclopedia web site and you will find many. Confession to priests,
idol worship, Mary worship as queen of heaven, forgiveness of sins, and many
symbolic pagan rituals just to mention a few. In their fullness these are all
extreme abominations to our jealous God.
Now that we are at least partly familiar with these terms
above, please follow the study I prepared below that confirms the mother of
harlots, and should put you in good stead for further studies of the Roman
Catholic Babylonian System.
Mt 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
This is the scripture the the Roman Catholic Church has built their false
doctrine on. The word "Rock" signifies Christ himself and there is only ONE
rock. Besides, the original Greek says "pebble" not rock, meaning Peter is the
pebble. But lets assume for the moment Peter is the rock and see if the RCC has
any legs to stand on.
Considerations
1. Peter the Apostle was never in Rome. The bible clearly shows this to be true.
(study coming soon to prove this) But meanwhile, see for yourself if you can
find Peter in Rome in the bible, teaching to the Gentiles.
2. Peter was commissioned by Christ to the CIRCUMCISED (Jews) and it was Paul
who was commissioned to the UNCIRCUMCISED (gentiles) in Rome.1Ti 2:7 Whereunto I
(Paul) am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and
lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity
3. Peter was called the PEBBLE, not the rock. Jesus is the one and ONLY rock.
Let's look at this scripture again...Mt 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That
thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell
shall not prevail against it. If this means the RCC is this almighty church, the
the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, right? But the gates of hell
have many times prevailed against it. Just look at the inquisition, the loss of
power the RCC experienced for some time, the evil acts of their priests, the
changing of laws and times as the prophet Daniel foresaw, and the list just goes
on and on. The reason Jesus said this is because the gates of hell cannot
prevail against the true church, and that is the body of Christ the ROCK. And
who are of the body? All those who believe in Him and are obedient.
4. It was not Simon Peter the Apostle who founded the RCC, but rather Simon
(Magus) Peter a magician and a sorcerer. This Peter was even tried to buy the
power of the Holy Spirit with money, but was rebuked by Peter the apostle.
5. The true church began with the apostles immediately after the resurrection
of Christ, and the RCC although already at work (as shown in Acts), did not officially begin until
Constantine declared it around 321 AD.
Explanations
The great false church system of Rome had its beginning in the day of the
apostles of Christ. Unfortunately, this conflict did not go its separate way but
mixed in to one religious system. This is why there are so many pagan ideas and
doctrines in the Roman Catholic Church. Some crept in over time but many were
there from the very beginning. The first conflict between early Christianity and
false religion of paganism was recorded in the book of Acts, Chapter 8. This
quarrel happened between a pagan high priest named Simon Magus and the apostles
Peter and Philip. We first hear of Simon Magus in Acts Chapter 8, verse 9-25
Verse 9: But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the
same city used Sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that
himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This
man is the great power of God.
11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched
them with sorceries.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom
of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: And when he was baptized, he continued
with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs, which were done.
14 ¶ Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had
received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive
the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: Only they were
baptised in
the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy
Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may
receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast
thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: For thy heart is not right
in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the
thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and [in] the bond
of iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of
these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord,
returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the
Samaritans.
What happened in these sixteen verses? Was this just a one-time event that took
place or something that Luke decided to document? The confrontation that took
place here, in Jerusalem, not long after the death and resurrection of Jesus,
can be easily overlooked as just one of those things that may have been relevant
to the time. But what really happens here? The incident that took place between
Simon Magus and the apostles sets the stage of many of the epistles of the New
Testament and the early entrance of apostasy into the early church. The person
that is mentioned and that we need to concentrate on is Simon Magus and how he
transformed himself into the first leader of the false world wide religious
system, the Catholic Church.
The reason Luke recorded this encounter with Simon has far-reaching effects. As
Hastings explains, the important reason was that "Luke's well-known plan of
describing THE FIRST MEETING between Christianity and rival systems" (Hastings
Bible Dictionary., p. 498). Luke gives in detail the principal character who
established the so-called Christian counterpart of the Truth in the Apostles'
days. This is the reason the Apostles in their Church letters many times mention
the false system as ALREADY IN EXISTENCE, but fail to describe its origin. They
didn't have to. That was already done RIGHT AT THE FIRST by Luke!
The Book of Acts, however, performs its purpose in exposing who started the
whole apostasy. God leaves it to the epistles. Revelations and the Gospel of
John describe the heresy and even the Old Testament prophesied of the church
falling away from the truth. We are certainly NOT left in doubt concerning its
abominable teachings. There is hardly an epistle that does not mention the
religions teaching of Simon Magus. Even the scholars who have studied Church
History have seen that almost ALL of the references in the New Testament expose
the errors in the first age of the Church and are directed exclusively to Simon
Magus, or his immediate followers. A few of these examples will be given later
and will show that already the existence of a shadow church that was gaining
strength and disrupting the true teachings of Christ.

very crown the Pope will hand to Antichrist when he arrives to
impersonate Jesus Christ in the days ahead.

Well, there is much much more to add weight to this proof that the RCC is
indeed the "Mother" of harlots Revelations is speaking of, but I hope you have
