The wcc is a fellowship of churches, now 342 in more than 120 countries in all continents from virtually all Christian traditions. Follow this link to see for yourself World Council of Churches From the WCC web site: Start The World Council of Churches (WCC) is the broadest and most inclusive among the many organized expressions of the modern ecumenical movement, a movement whose goal is Christian unity. The WCC brings together more than 340 churches, denominations and church fellowships in over 100 countries and territories throughout the world, representing some 400 million Christians and including most of the world's Orthodox churches, scores of denominations from such historic traditions of the Protestant Reformation as Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist and Reformed, as well as many united and independent churches. While the bulk of the WCC's founding churches were European and North American, today most are in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pacific. For its member
churches, the WCC is a unique space: one in which they can reflect, speak, act,
worship and work together, challenge and support each other, share and debate
with each other. As members of this fellowship, WCC member churches: Shared convictions on faith, life and witness are increasingly enriching theological reflection undertaken from strictly confessional perspectives. For example, theologians from different church traditions working together in the WCC's Faith and Order Commission produced a statement on baptism, Eucharist and ministry that has led to new worship patterns within churches, and to a greater understanding and changed relationships between churches of different confessional traditions. Now guys, are we putting all our eggs in one basket? I personally think so. If the WCC is 100% in the truth and does not contradict the preserved word of our Father, then it would be ok. But can you tell me any one denomination in all the earth who is? This is a dangerous practice I believe and could do much damage to the body of the Christ if they introduce new rules. And they will, don't you worry about that. It's just a matter of time. If the ambition of the WCC is fulfilled, then the Christian world as we know it will be governed rather than provide free will and freedom of speech for the body of Christ. Once it is fully established and has the confidence of the people, I see it then slowly but surely begin laying down rules and regulations that may or may not be of God. We have already seen what some denominations have ruled regarding homosexuals within the teaching circle of their church. If in fact these denominations pertain to their church as being a holy place of God to worship in, and they then wilfully pollute it by allowing immoral practice within, what then does this make them? I will let the reader be the judge. This sort of practice seems to be the way of political correctness within the church in these later days and I see no reason why at this stage, why the WCC will not follow. It has to, to be in harmony with mainstream. The church is supposed to be peculiar, not in harmony with the world. The big question I have is; where will it end? Especially with a world wide governing body like the WCC soon to take the reigns. You don't think so? Well lets just wait and see, but in the trend of the political world/church, it sure looks odds on to me at this stage.
