A change of heart

Basically after 20 years as a traditional dispensationalist Christian, and 8 years of devotion to God by means of study, research, and maintaining His sabbath day, God has chosen to reveal certain deeper truths to me. I have chosen to pursue these truths at the cost of many broken friendships. At this time (21st Jan 2007) I regard myself a full Preterist. As I study more, this may change to a partial Preterist, but I hardly think so. As a matter of fact I feel more research and study will only strengthen my full Preterist view. May The LORD receive glory through the truth He has provided me. Amen!

Just quickly, it happened like this.

One year ago I downloaded many free audio preaching files from all sorts of doctrine to put on my Ipod so I could listen at work. I listened to one in particular by a Preterist named David Curtis from America. Over a few weeks I managed to listen to this audio about 3 times I recon, and his bit on the Olivet Discourse kept nagging at me, so I did my own studies and found him to be biblically correct. It required me to check hundreds of Greek words, but finally came up with an accurate translation of Mathew chapter 24 to convince me to change my doctrine on the 2nd coming of Jesus. After reading many books and ancient transcripts, and dialoguing with a couple of established Preterists, I can now say I am a full Preterist .

At last many things that had bothered me in the bible found meaning and many pieces of the mystery that could not fit perfectly within God's plan of salvation, now fit perfectly. Passages like following which speak of that 'generation' of the Jews, and not this modern day generation that many falsely suppose.

Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Mat 23:36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mar 8:12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

Of course there are many others that you will find as you browse my site, but the main point I make is...they all fit nicely now into the prophecies BC. It excites me no end, that now, at last, after 20 years seeking, I finally understand my Lord Jesus. I now know that the 'Kingdom of God' or heaven, is within me. Its all about spirit and soul, not about physical and desire. I now know what 'made in the image' of God means now. God is Spirit only...so how can we be any thing else? We are spirit also, in the image of God. I now understand that God gave us this flesh for one reason...to advance our soul. We are older than what many think. God has known us before we were even conceived. Thank you Father for the mercy you show your people, by making the truth known to them.
