This is a photo of Gidgit, in her dinosaur jacket knitted by Isobel. Gidgit is very much a house dog, hates going for walks and likes sleeping on the couch keeping one eye on the outside world, but at night time she is found snug in our bed, one of her favourite places! She is 3 years old and a cross Shizue and jack Russell.
This is Polly. She is a lovely gentle natured dog. She is 12 years old and we got her when she was 2 years old from an animal shelter. Polly is a cross corgie and terrier. Her and Gidget get on very well together. Polly has very good ESP and knows when you are going to get your runners on to take her out for a W A L K, which is her favourite pastime. Sadly she passed away in janaury of 2006. Polly is greatly missed by the family.
We also keep zebra finches in a large aviary that our friend Colin built for us in October 2003. They have been breeding a lot lately and we now have between 30 35 birds. Zebra finches are very easy to keep, only requiring seed, water and fresh grass. We have now added a dove.
And this is Darcy, our lovely cat. She is now 12 years old and just tolerates living with the dogs. Like some cats she can be very indifferent in her nature and only shows her feeling for the big white thing in the kitchen called the refrigerator.
