Qwikskin takes a different approach! Qwikpskin FRC does not poison marine growth, but inhibits the adhesion of marine organisms including barnacles, contaminants and other substances to the hull.

Qwikskin FRC is clear, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-yellowing under sunlight, resistant to normal weathering, and free of greenhouse-effect solvents and emissions affecting the earth's protective ozone shield.

Marine organisms will still be there – nothing will stop that. The difference is that in most cases they will not adhere to the hull. They can be very easily and quickly removed. Many barnacles can be wiped off with your finger when hull cleaning is done regularly! On a faster vessel, most growth will be removed by the water flow when the vessel in under way!
