Brabyn Street
divides the Infants and the Primary Departments of The Denistone East Infants
School.
Brabyn Street was
named after Lieutenant John Brabyn of the N.S.W Corps, who was given a grant of
land in 1801. His land was roughly between Balaclava Road and Inkerman Road and
includes the area on which the school is positioned today.
