|
CONSERVATION AREA
This is a predominantly residential area developed during the late 19th and early 20th centuries after the opening of the railway station on Brabyn’s Brow in 1875. There are two smaller pockets of earlier buildings, one comprising the remaining part of a small agricultural hamlet near to the junction of Station Road with Hollins Lane., and the other of the canal buildings and the nearby Brabyn’s Lodge. The quality of this area justifying its designation derives from: |
