Mundell Quarter Horses

Specializing in performance quarterhorses

Most people in Wyoming still believe in doing things the "old fashioned way" and I have to say we are among this group of people who still believe in this philosophy.

Standing for the First Time
Standing for the first time!

We pasture breed our own mares and then let the mares foal out in nice clean pastures. There are a lot of advantages in letting nature run its course. We feel that there is not as much stress put on the horse and that the horse is more apt to live a longer, healthier, and productive life.

We track our mares' cycles and keep a close eye on when our stud takes the mare in the pasture. Our foaling records are accurate. However, we do things a little different for our customers who bring their mares to us. We prefer to hand breed our stallion to Outside mares. This is just a safety precaution for the customer's mare and also for our stud. We provide an ultrasound to verify the pregnancy after 15 days.

We take pride in putting as much attention and care into our horses as possible. In turn, these mares have produced awesome colts with good dispositions and great confirmation as shown in the pictures.

Lenas Poco Pine, Golden Line Back Dun AQHA Stallion

He is very gentle around the mares and colts
Our niece sitting on Lenas Poco Pine's back while in the pasture with his broodmare band. He has a wonderful disposition for a four year old stallion!

His disposition is truly one of a kind!

Very athletic, cowy, and all business while you are on his back, but at the same time, gentle as a lamb to the mares and colts.

He is currently being shown in reining and working cowhorse event.
