Established in 1980, the Tumut Family History Group is an organisation that aims to assist
people who are researching their family history, local history or the pioneering families of the region.
Where is Tumut ?
Tumut is in the foothills of the Northern end of the Snowy Mountains,
part of the Great Dividing Range, in Southern New South Wales. It is approximately 35 kms
East of Gundagai, and approximately 100 kms "as the crow flies" South West of Canberra.
