Another general view, this time looking in the other direction. The D
class is continuing to shunt, placing some wagons in the feed lot siding.
You'd better not delay boys, it's only mid-morning and already there is a
big storm brewing to the south! This view also shows the imperious view of
the town that the folks on the hill have, in their fancy Queenslander. The
fact the D class is still in the early Brindabella Railway livery gives a
clue to its expected longevity - not much! Despite appearances, there's only
about 60cm across the baseboard here, and about 75cm to the end of the layout,
showing the influence of a good backdrop. |
