Modern cosmology and geology has presented us with a huge panorama of galactic, stellar, and planetary history. This illustrated lecture surveys the variety of ideas including that of a cyclic universe, and the role of order and disorder in our solar system. Are we all a product of chance?

Talk by Dr Victor Gostin, Adelaide Scientist and Theosophical Society member since 1959. He was Associate Professor and Head of Department of Geology and Geophysics at Adelaide University prior to his retirement and has had the rare honour of having an asteroid named after him.
