The Australian Service Medal 1945 - 75 with clasp "Japan"

Awarded for 30 days service in prescribed non-warlike or peacekeeping operations between 3 September 1945 and 14 February 1975. By the end of BCOF no medals had been granted for service with BCOF as it was not designated a "war". In 1997 the Australian Government approved the issue of the above medal to cover service in BCOF Japan.
