2009 Military Police Association Reunion

As discussed at the AGM in Sep 2007, we are pleased to announce that the Cairns RSL Sub Branch, through the President, Peter Turner, has confirmed that it is able to host our reunion on the above dates. The MPAA Executive is to conduct an AGM on the morning of Saturday 24th April and a Reunion Dinner/Buffet on the Sat evening either at the Club or at a suitable venue in Cairns. On Sunday 25th April, Members will be able to attend the Cairns Dawn Service and participate in other RSL Anzac Day activities. Assistance in this planning and also, eg local tour options, has been kindly offered by Peter Turner and Bill Taylor, both MPAA Members in Cairns.

The cost for the Dinner, as a guide, would be $50 to $70 per person, depending on menu, venue etc (similar to the successful Canberra Commemorative Dinner). The figure, together with an administrative/registration fee of $25 (each Member, only, attending), would provide a cost of $75 to $95 per Member and; as applicable, an additional $50 to $70 per partner (Dinner only). A total planning figure of $125 to $165 per couple. Accommodation reservations, at your choice and cost, may be made well in advance, should you wish to secure your best accommodation and travel options for 2010.

With nearly two years notice (for your diaries!) I welcome all to attend this beautiful location in far North Qld, ahead of the cool southern winter and enjoy, again, the camaraderie that was so successful at Canberra in 2007. Even make it a stay over for a few more days?
