Dads BMW R51/3
After nearly 2 years of refurbishment its finally finished. Dads BMW motor bike with the side car outfit. It's been done in the style of the German army's desert bikes and certainly gets a lot of looks from people while he's riding around.
As the quality of the brakes wasn't up to scratch he redesigned them and had new drums cast. The linkage system to the brake pads was totally redesigned with solid linkages rather than the original cable arrangement. All these linkage parts were cast in steel using the lost wax process. My small foundry cast up a lot of small items along with all the badges, wheel nuts etc.
