The garden is located in Katoomba, Blue Mountains of NSW, which is part of the Great Dividing Range of Australia.

This site contains a series of pictures of the garden today and its stages of development since 1986 with views of its seasonal variations.

The weatherboard cottage was built around the 1950's and has survived a few bushfire threats over the years. The house name is Killarney after the town in Ireland and thus the name of this site which has been on the drawing board for years but has been resurrected at the encouragement of a gardening friend.
