Programming/Textures/Models By Dale Borland

This Game one button game was made for the Retro Games Competition.

The compitition had two rules:

  • a) Retro styles.
  • b) Only One key could be used. (not including the exit key).

  • The game was writtin in a week (ie < 40 hours) and as a resault of this tight schedual the game is very basic.
I would have liked to have optimized it (there is a lot that can be done, such as those badly done clouds...they suck up too much time).

    How to Play

Playing requires a certain amount of coordination, as all actions are performed using the space key..
Actions are based on key taps and holds:

    • In order to bank left, for instance, Tap and release the space bar quickly, and then Tap and Hold for the duration of the turn.. (You should get a sort of Tap-HOLD, a total of to space bar hits).
    • In order to bank Right, Tap and release the space bar quickly, but twice, and then Tap and Hold for the duration of the turn.. (You should get a sort of Tap-Tap-HOLD).
    • Firing is easiest, simply Hold the space bar down.

    System Requirements
    • Windows (Tested on XP)
    • Open GL
    • DirectX Input
    • A fairly descent Video Card.
    • A cpu 2 match ;)

    Tested and ran well on:

    • AMD900, Tnt2, 512mb
    • P4 2.4, Radeon 9600, 768mb
    • P4 celeron 1.4, standard intel onboard video, +/- 256mb

Sorry I did not get 2 do more testing on other pc's....

    Contact

As this is a rushed Game Comp Job, I will not be providing any "Support" for this game.
I am happy to answer questions about it, but probably will not have time for "I cant get it to run please help". sorry folks..
Any way any questions Email Dale, Please put something relating to the game name in the subject as I tend to simply delete any mail that is not from a known source without opening it..

    Legal (kinda) stuff

You may distribute this to whoever and however you wish, HOWEVER, I wish that all files are unchanged and included.
