Exercises


I wanted some stretches/exercises that were quick and easy to perform and would maintain flexibility and fitness.

I find exercising a pain (literally) unless I can build it into my life (like walking or cycling to work).

I also have a dicky ankle, dodgy knees, crook back and stuffed shoulder,

all from falling off two wheeled contrivances and mostly my own fault :)

To cut a long story short, I was introduced to the Tibetan Five Rites by my sister.

Now there is a bit of mumbo jumbo associated with them but if you can just ignore all that

and do the exercises I am sure you will find a surprising improvement in your flexibility and stamina.

There are a lot of sites with info on the Rites but this is probably the quickest to download:

Here is a msword document copy of a similar site, about 100k in size.

Here is a PDF version available for download but it is quite large, about 536k but it has pretty much the full story behind it.

As I said, there is a fair bit of bulls...t but don't let that turn you off, the results speak for themselves.

I know certainly feel it if I don't do them for a couple of days.

All it takes is 10 to 15 minutes per day to do the full set
                                                                                     


As an aside about taking it easy and less stress etc then read this and relax :)
