Wongarra Heights resides on 100 acres of farm land with a large cottage garden
around the house. Wongarra Heights is a traditional hosted bed and breakfast
comprising of six rooms, which can cater for up to 14 guests. Come and experience
the genuine old-world atmosphere and hospitality. The property also includes a
180° view of the majestic Southern ocean, so you can relax to the sound of the waves
in the nostalgic rooms or on the period iron lace work balcony.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast each morning before setting off to explore the
local highlights or you can simply relax and pick up your favourite book,
set up an easel or tripod to capture the many stunning views or the
abundant birds & wildlife.
LeeAnne and Dieter the hosts at Wongarra Heights Guesthouse, would like to invite you
to come and enjoy their little piece of paradise, to relax and unwind surrounded by the stunning views,
the abundant bird and wildlife.LeeAnne and Dieter are a wealth of knowledge on things to see and do in the
local area and are more than willing to help if you run short of ideas on what to do to fill in your days.
Wongarra Heights is decorated in the old-world style of years gone by, offering two styles of guest rooms.
We have four rooms in the traditional style with private bedrooms and use shared bathrooms, also after
some renovating we also have two rooms with their own private en-suite bathrooms.
The dining room you can gaze out the large windows while sitting down to breakfast and watch the
ocean or the wallaby’s in the paddock. In the lounge you can sit around the wood fire and feel warm
and cosy on a cold winter’s night.The house and gazebo are surrounded by a large cottage
garden with traditional and native plants for the birds and bees to feast on.
The Gazebo is set on the point at the end of the house and includes a BBQ which all guests can use
and enjoy while watching the sun set over Apollo Bay.

Wongarra Heights Guesthouse is an adult retreat somewhere you can relax and enjoy
or have a romantic getaway. Our Accommodation is not suitable for children, so we therefore
do not accept children less than 13 years of age.
We have a variety of specials and run a range different group packages (such as our Murder Mystery Weekends)
through the year, you can check out the details for some of these on the specials page.
Wongarra Heights in the centre of Wongarra and is fairly easy to find we have put directions and maps
on the find us page if you still have difficulties don’t hesitate to call LeeAnne.
You don’t have to stay at the Guesthouse to visit Wongarra Heights
you can come and enjoy a Devonshire tea while taking in the surrounds.

Originally a farmhouse the homestead became a guesthouse in1938.
Over the years it has also served as the telephone exchange, post office, church and local dance hall.

Wongarra Heights offers easy access to many local attractions.
Using Wongarra Heights as a base you can take day trips along the Great Ocean Road
to the Twelve Apostles and loch Ard Gorge. You can visit the national parks, rainforests
and waterfalls of the Otway Rangers. Take a food and wine tour, trying the local produce. And lots more…
