My Mopar Performance Chrome ECU arrived after a 6 week wait. Needless to say I fitted it immediately as its a 2 minute job! I've spent the last week getting the fuel tank ready to refit and restoring the brake pedal assembly which is now also fitted. I have lined up a local electroplaters to Chrome plate a box full of parts for me (including the headlight surrounds and front bumper) so I should have a few more parts to fit soon! I have now fitted the fuel tank and pump (Holley Red) and run the lines and a fuel filter between them. Its hard to photograph, but you can see the tank in the 3rd picture below. I painted the tank and retaining straps with POR 15 (I really do like that stuff!). You can see below the new horn is fitted (yes its small, but I like the tidy look) and I've started dressing up some of the completed wiring loom with chrome split conduit. |

| This
weekend I made some progress preparing the dash for paint. I recycled some
of the old bonnet to make a plate that I welded over the ashtray position
to make the dash look a lot smoother than factory, and welded up a small
hole made by the previous owner for an alarm system warning lamp. Overall
I'm pleased with the result and will leave the dash in primer for a week
to harden up nicely before painting.
I have also included some pics of other bits I've restored for the dash, the crash pad was cleaned and painted using vinyl dye. The ignition barrel and dash panel were touched up with a silver paint pen which worked a treat - best $4.95 I've spent! I also trial fitted the SAAS steering wheel and boss kit I picked up off Mopar Market for only $50!! It will suit the car perfectly. |

| Well as you can see the dash is in the car and the it was worth the effort - it looks great! Spent a Sunday wiring everything in once the dash was in and it's all ready to go. Next jobs for the interior are to restore the heater and console, which I will modify so I can fit the Sony Xplod CD stereo I have purchased. | ||||
