Notes: Sir Gervase (the Chevalier) succeeded his father at the age of 13. He had been married to his first wife before his father's death. He was High Sheriff of Notinghamshire in 1344. In 1349 he gave land in Stanton on the Wold and Clifton and the advowson of Staunton to three chaplains daily celebrating Divine Service in the Church of St. Mary at Clifton "for the good estate of him and the said Gervase, Isabel his wife." Isabel was Sir Gervase's second wife.
