Parents:Family:Father: Few, John

Notes: Both John and his first wife, Avery, were dissenters, being listed as members in the chapel records in 1726. They were both 'admonished for going to human worship' in 1727, which may have meant that they had been to the parish church, but they must have been forgiven because in 1733 John became a deacon of the chapel. None of their children was baptised, but they had at least four, not perhaps in the listed order.

Note: The name Clare also seen as Claridge, double checked against the marriage register for Rampton, which confirms the Clare name, although interestingly Claridge is also a family name in the village of Rampton.
