Note: John fathered an illegitimate son by a girl named Catherine Greave, bap. John, 27 Jan 1615/6. John's second wife Alice was buried on 4 or 6 Apr 1660, a few weeks before the Restoration of King Charles 11. He paid tax on two hearths in 1662, but in 1666 is shown as sharing two hearths with "Widow" Brown" probably his housekeeper. He was buried in the same year..
