A New Vision of Astrology sounded very interesting
to me from the information I found on the back cover...
"A horoscope begins at conception rather than birth, incorporating
gestation - the most formative period of life". This is
an approach I haven't learnt much about so I was eager to
find out more.
The author, A.T. Mann, has had more than thirty
years of experienced in the astrological field and has worked
with thousands of clients through this time. Some of his
other books include Life Time Astrology, Astrology and Art
of Healing and Sacred Sexuality.
After reading this I was more than looking
forward to discovering this new way of looking at a birth
chart. I was also excited by the Special Bonus offer that
gave each reader a free, personalised horoscope chart. Unfortunately,
when I went to the website given and not only couldn't I
get my free horoscope, but the link for the email address
didn't work!
Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but I was disappointed
that I couldn't put to use some of the interesting information
I had read about in the book, such as The Archetypal Ages
of the Houses, where the different houses represent in a
very thorough and exact way the different ages from conception
through to death.
I found the theory and ideas sound, interesting
and definitely worth looking at. For me the author exposed
me to a totally new way of looking at a birth chart that
I found useful. More than half the book is made up of interpretive
text which proves very useful for the novice and experienced
astrologer alike.
This book is aimed at the beginner but has
something to offer most people with an interest in looking
at a birth chart in a different way... especially those
involved in psychological astrology. Therefore, I would
recommend A New Vision of Astrology to readers who are just
learning about astrology and to those that have a good understanding
of it, but are interested in learning different methods
of interpretation.
Perhaps the problem with the website/email
address has since been fixed. Alternatively, it may have
been available for a limited amount of time from the publishing
date. Even with the mentioned problems this book is still
worth taking a closer look at.
