The Margin of Victory tiebreaker can be used to decide a winner if more than 1 tipper either tips all winners or the most winners (depending on which option you have selected).
Generally the Margin of Victory tiebreaker match is the first match at the MCG for each round. When the tipper enter's his/her tips they must nominate what they believe the winning margin of victory will be. If more than one tippers wins, then the tipper who has guessed closest to the Margin of Victory will be the winner.
By default the tipper does not have to necessarily select the winning team in the Margin of Victory tiebreaker match. What is important is how close they were to the winning margin. However this can be overrided by selecting Winning Margins only under the General Options section. When this option is selected, the tipper(s) with the highest score must have actually tipped the winning team in the Margin of Victory tiebreaker match. The exception to this is in the case where none of the tippers with the highest score tipped the winner of the margin game, and in this case the tipper(s) who selected the closest to the margin will be awarded the weekly jackpot.

To remove the default Footy Tipping Picture use the Explore program (right click on Start menu) and look for the file called footypic.bmp located in the Windows folder on the C drive of the PC you are on. (eg: c:\WINDOWS\ folder). Do not look in the folder where footy tipping is installed - you will not find it there. When you locate the file, either rename it (eg. to footypic2.bmp) or simply delete it.

By default the Margin game for each round is the first game at the MCG (or Telstra Dome if no MCG match). This is not suitable for all tipping compeitions, especially those outside of Victoria. However the margin game can be changed by following these instructions:
1/. Login as Administrator
2/. Click on the Setup menu and choose Create / Show Fixture
3/. A text file will display in Notepad which has every game for the season. At the start of each row is the round number and match number.
4/. The end of each row will normally be blank. Find the match that you wish to be the margin game and insert the text Yes or Y at the end of the row (must be a comma before the Yes or Y). If any other matches in that round already have a Yes or Y then remove them.
5/. When you have made the changes to the text file click on the File menu of Notepad, then select Save.
6/. Now click on the Setup menu then select Import Fixture and the margin game will be changed next time you run the software.
