Shared Journeys

(Application closing date 6 November 2008)

Papermakers of Victoria Inc is holding a juried exhibition from 3 to 21 March 2009 to coincide with the 20th Congress of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists being held in Tasmania.

Shared Journeys is open to both Australian and international artists and will promote the notion that all paper artists share journeys in many senses - technically, artistically, geographically and spiritually.

The exhibition will be held in the new architecturally designed gallery of Victoria University. Level 17 Artspace is ideally located in the heart of Melbourne's central business district and visual arts precinct and is easily accessible by both trains and trams. The gallery, which is open six days a week, has a focus of encouraging dynamic, challenging and experimental artistic practices. Exhibiting work in this gallery will provide exposure for local, interstate and overseas artists to a discerning and culturally aware public.

You are invited to submit work for what promises to be an exciting and innovative exhibition. Please indicate by 16th September by mail, email or telephone if you intend to submit an application to exhibit. Application form and conditions of entry are available online at www.papermakers.org.au
