And at the Federal level, for at least 50 years, more or less, the government has been doing the same thing, taking money from mug taxpayers to give to mug taxpayers, but only those who have children.

And ultimately who doesn’t have children.

And it has been costing at least $5 per week per child for itself all that time. If the Mafia did it, it would be called skimming, oops, sorry I already said that, but if the government does it, it's called social welfare.

It's a real worry, isn't it?

So what can a person do about this?

In fact your hero took this matter to the head of a large accounting body in Perth, Western Australia. After laying out the problem your hero offered the view that he thought he must be going crazy. The head of the accounting body replied by saying that no, I wasn’t going crazy, I was absolutely correct in every detail.

So I asked why the body didn’t do something about this waste?  To this I received the reply, “Oh no. That’s one of our sacred cows. If we even touched that there would be rioting in the streets.”

I then brought the matter before the host of an ABC talk back radio program. After laying out the problem to this individual I received the comment that I should remember that when the Child Endowment program was introduced we, Australians were trying to build the country.

Excuse me?  Trying to build the country by imposing penalty taxes on the very foundation of the country, families?

Well, it was the ABC.

That’s an even bigger worry.
