THANKS & LINKS...
This hobby relies heavily on making contacts for gaining information and, of course, swapping. I have been contacting many people (you know who you are!), so I want to thank all of you who have responded to my emails.
A special thanks to the following people...
Mike, "AstroNit". Back sometime in the late 90's, I tried searching the Internet for information on R&L cereal toys. I basically came up with nothing! I tried again, a couple of years later, and I found Mike's site. And what a site! I was amazed to discover that these little toys, made right here in Victoria, were so popular in America! Thanks, Mike, for a great site, which I think is the best R&L reference on the Web (theonly one, I suspect!).
Peter Markman. Peter was one of the people I made contact with when I was originally looking for people to swap with, and we have subsequently swapped a few pieces. Our swap was significant for me because I was able to complete my AstroNit and Vegetable Sports sets - and he also supplied me with a crocodile's tail, which completed my Animads set! Thanks Peter.
KPG. I made a start on the Crazy Animals [6], Cowboys & Indians [29], Midi-Link [47], Totem Tribe and Moose's Tooley Bird sets, with items I obtained from KPG, and some nice additions to other sets. KPG used to have her own Website, which now seems to be gone. KPG, if you see this, please let me know if you still have a Website somewhere...
Janet. I was surprised to find out that my cousin, Janet, has a collection of R&L, kept safely since childhood (I remember us playing together with cereal toys, all those years ago). While she wants to keep most of it, she did give me some items, including a Spinge to complete my Fringies set, and a Jockey Dog to complete my Daffy Dogs set.
Robert Kerton. Robert has helped me out with a few nice swaps. Take the link to his Website, for a list of his swaps and wants.
James Kennedy. James was kind enough to put a link to my site, from his. Unfortunately, James and his site now seem to have disappeared. James, if you see this, please let me know your contact details! Check out The Home of the Horde !!
Do you know of any other good cereal toy links? If so, let me know, and I will add them to this list.!
