Course Information:
Demonstrations include:
- the techniques used for setting out and building a dry stone wall,
- the preparation and laying of toodyay stone paving,
- the shaping of stones for a perfect fit,
- keeping the job 'on the level',
- calculating the amount of rock/stone you will need for a job,
- pond and water feature construction- including some 'tricks of the trade' and the practical demonstration of installing a stunning water feature.
You will also be given:
- an introduction to six different types of stone,
- information on the sourcing, pricing and availability of material,
- valuable assistance on the quoting of your own projects.
General Information:
- Class numbers are kept to a maximum of 6-8 people.
- It is required, for safety and insurance purposes, that all participants provide and wear their own safety glasses, heavy footwear and heavy duty gloves. It is recommended that sunscreen and a hat also be worn.
- We will supply morning and afternoon tea, including lots of water and cordial.
- You will need to supply you own lunch. There is also a 'deli' approximately 200mtrs down the street.
- Courses commence at 8 am, on Saturday mornings. (7.45 am if you would like to start with a coffee!)
- 'Knock-off' time is approximately 3.30 - 4.p.m. depending on the durability of the class.
- Cost: $250.00 for 2 full days (Saturday and Sunday).

You can then complete that application form and send it in to us. A deposit of $50 confirms your position in the class. The balance of $200 is payable on the Saturday Morning, prior to class commencement. A receipt will be issued at that time for the total amount.
