It was occupied by a family by the name of Arends, (Sebastian, Lucy and Mary) none of whom married. This was prior to 1954. Lucy was the last to die in about 1960. They were farmers. After Lucy died Mr Walter Alwin Hildebrandts rented and managed the property. The property passed to Mr Alf Arends in the early 1960s when it was abandoned.
