April 2nd 2005. The day Chris and I married. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining brightly with just a small breeze blowing. Absolutely perfect!

Chris and I married in his Aunt's garden. Joyce has a gorgeous garden and she had it looking stunning for our wedding. There were roses on the archways leading to the center of the garden and also in the hedges along the path.

As I can't wear jewellery on my fingers, Chris and I decided to have a 'Rose Ceremony'. Instead of exchanging rings, we gave each other a red rose. Like rings, roses are also a sign of love.

We had a small wedding with only family members attending. Michelle and Jenny (Chris' daughters) handed us our roses and also signed the bottom of our wedding certificate. Our Mothers (Jean and Val) signed as our witnesses. We asked Jean if should would mind reading the Scripture. She was delighted to. The Scripture that was read was from Ruth 1:16-17. We also asked Joyce if she would like to read the prayer. We were honoured that both Jean and Joyce read at our wedding.

Our Minister who presided over the wedding delivered a beautiful service. No-one could have done it any better than James did. Because I have trouble standing, James did a 20 minute ceremony but it was as beautiful as a 1 hour ceremony.
