Pearl Beach to Newport return

The Pearl beach to Newport is around 32 km return. This paddle explores some interesting geography of the Northern Beaches. This is the view to Barrenjoey heading past Lion Island.

The Eastern face of Barrenjoey a popular but dangerous fishing spot.

A nearly all weather landing site is the Southern end of Palm Beach. This is a good stop for a morning tea, stretch and toilet break. A park opposite the beach has some seats.

Noticed this blowhole its not obvious at first glance but just to the right of the white water, you can see that it blows out at right angles through a small cave.

This is Careel Head
Looking down to the South from Whale beach to Bangalley head, Bilgola to Bungan head.

Bilgola beach on our right with little reef off Newport breaking in the distance

Our return back to Pearl beach with still 3 hours of daylight left to enjoy the day.
