Whitsunday
Island - Dugong to South Molle Island and Shute Harbour
![]() Our second last day as we meet up with the NSWSKC group. A few of us towed some of the Kayaks from Dugong beach to Jimmy's beach while some of the group did the rain forest walk. We parted our ways, they went to North Molle and we to South Molle Island. |
![]() Our track followed the Southern end of Cid Island and traveled back up the North West side where we anchored the Kayaks, had morning tea.. along with a feast of very large black lipped Oysters. |
![]() This is South Molle Island with the northern end joined by a narrow spit shown below. |
![]() The spit is completely covered at high tide and could be at times suitable for a Kayak crossing, but not today. |
![]() Camped on South Molle Island. The crew left to right. Norm, David, Henry and Paul. |
![]() After nine days, Norms spontaneous eruptions into song became a little too much for all of us. Only coconut man endured. |
