Latest News About Pierre - as I like to call him

England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was full of praise for Italian referee Pierluigi Collina for his handling of last night's potentially volatile clash in Istanbul.
Trouble flared at half-time with players and staff from both sides clashing
in the tunnel, a continuation of the Alpay / Beckham feud which began when the
Turkish defender taunted the England captain's 37th minute penalty miss.
Eriksson said: "I was the last one down the tunnel. Collina was very good as
usual and took David and Alpay into his dressing-room and talked to them.
"The first thing that I said to the players at half-time was to stay calm and to
keep their heads."
Collina was handed the game after orginal referee Kim Nielson pulled out through
injury.
