Early Career Researcher & Student Funding Support

RACI Colloid & Surface Science Division Early Career Researcher Travel Bursaries

The RACI Colloid & Surface Science Division, is offering a limited number of early career researchers* travel bursaries of up to AU$500 to enable travel to ACIS 2007.

How to Apply:

An abstract for an oral or poster presentation must have been submitted through the conference abstract submission system on this website.

In addition, please submit an application, of no more than 1 page in length, which refers to your conference abstract, and addresses the following selection criteria:

  1. A summary of the goals of your research project
  2. A justification for award of a travel bursary, including your reasons for wishing to attend the conference, and a description of what benefits attendance would offer you.
  3. Details of two scientific referees

Please submit your application for consideration via email to the chair of the RACI Colloids & Surface Science Division, Dr. Patrick Hartley no later than 15th November 2006

Successful Applicants will be informed by 1st December 2006

* An Early Career Researcher is one who received their PhD in 2002 or later.

Student Funding Support for Travel and Accommodation

Funding support is available to students attending ACIS2007 courtesy of the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering.

Conditions:

  1. Student must be from an AINSE's member university (see AINSE's member universities here)
  2. Student must be presenting a poster or a talk.
