
The tenth symposium in the series of meetings intended to promote collaboration between scientists from Japan, Australia and other countries in the region working in the field of Colloid and Interface Science will be held as part of ACIS2009. These meetings are a showcase of Colloid Science in the two countries and have been successful in bringing together the diverse interests of the two communities. The symposium will provide an international forum for detailed discussion and presentation of recent developments in the field of Colloid and Interface Science. All sessions will be in English.
The meeting will begin with a tour of the regions around Adelaide on Sunday Feb 1, including lunch at a winery and a visit to a wildlife park. Participants are invited to the welcome reception on Sunday evening, and then two days of talks will be held. All speakers in these sessions will be invited, however contributed posters are welcome for the Monday night poster session. A dinner with entertainment will be held for participants on Tuesday night. The AJ Symposium will run in parallel with the other themes on Monday and Tuesday, and registrants are encouraged to participate in the final two days of ACIS2009.
As part of the symposium there will be a bus tour on Sunday 1st. As part of this tour will be a visit to a wildlfe sanctuary, lunch and a winery visit. More details to folllow.
