Conference Format

The 26th Australian Colloid and Surface Science Student Conference will begin on 4 February 2008 at 12:30 pm and will conclude on Friday, 8 February 2008.

Students will be given the opportunity to present their work in either an oral presentation, or as a poster presentation.   Preference for oral presentations is given to students in their third year.

Oral Presentations

Talks will be around 15 minutes plus 5 minutes question time. There is a data projector for PowerPoint presentations. Please plan your talk to run for 15 min as you will be truncated if you run over! All talks must be brought to the conference on a USB drive or CD. Please arrange with Charlie Dong to have your talk loaded onto the system well before your session.

Students presenting their work in this format are eligible for the Healy-Hunter Award for the Most Outstanding Oral Presentation and / or the Most Outstanding Communicator Award.

Poster Presentations

Posters will be displayed on free-standing boards with a maximum of 1m wide x 1.5 m high (A0 in portrait is perfect). Posters should include the names and affiliations of the authors and a photograph of the presenting author so that the student can be readily identified during the poster session.

Students presenting their work in poster sessions are eligible for award's yet to be confirmed.
