The 28th Australian Colloid and Surface Science Student Conference will be held at Riverwood Downs, Newcastle, New South Wales, from the 6 - 10 February 2012.

In 1967, Bob Hunter and Tom Healy started the tradition of the Australian Colloid and Surface Science Student Conference under the auspices of the newly formed RACI Division of Colloid and Surface Science.  The first meeting comprised just a handful of students and academics, but the last student conference attracted over 130 students, staff and industry representatives.

These conferences have provided postgraduate students of colloid and surface science with an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an informal, supportive and friendly atmosphere.
