Plympton Primary 1994 - 2002

I set up my workshop learning program in the original classroom in 1996 and was involved in many other projects outside of the classroom.

  • Firstly this web site is based on the one I created for Plympton Primary in my role as IT coordinator, click on emblem above.

  • The year 2001 deserves a special mention as the Plympton Primary School Federation Walkway was established with a $20,000 grant that I had successfully applied for. The walkway commemorated the Centenary of Federation 1901-2001 and celebrated the school's 140th birthday. The walkway spanned the southern entrance of the school to the original school building at the north eastern end of the school grounds.

Student Reflections from My last year….

This year I have learnt so much more. Mr. Rosewall has an extremely good and well organised class working system. It made me much more independent and organised working-wise. I am very ready for high-school since I was in Mr. Rosewall’s class because his working system is very much like a high-school working system. I rate this year as a green triple up! [Joshua]

I think this year has gone pretty well and I have learnt a lot. Mr Rosewall has a very well set up working system that helps you get all you work done, this year I have achieved a blue rating which is like a ‘b’. I have learnt a lot of things I did not know before, his tall ship program helps you learn how to use some tools you may have never used before.

Mr Rosewall’s set up is very much like a high school system and he has prepared me well for high school I would rate this year a green up [Owen].

This year has been Ok but I have found myself struggling a lot to keep up with the work load. I still really enjoyed being in this class even though the freedom has been cut down a bit compared to last year. I think I have really improved in maths but I’ve still got to try even harder if I am going to keep up with everything at high school. This year I think my best subject was probably english and it is also (apart from art) my favorite basic subject. I love the Workshop system and I think every class should run like this one but I guess that’s what makes this class is so different.  [Naomi]

This class has had a huge change since last year, I feel that I learnt more in year 6 than year 7, it might just be the year has changed, the people has changed so Mr Rosewall changed. Last year we had more freedom which I think that it better than the new system. I got more distracted this year than last year. I would rate myself a blue down. I would rate Mr Rosewall a Green. [Roxy]

I think that Mr Rosewall is the best teacher in the school. The workshop program is heaps good because it is fun, functional and gets you ready for high school. Workshop is cool because you can make new things like board games (like our Simpsons one) and wooden models. It also has a very large variety of things to do like cooking, work, sport etc. I have enjoyed the time I have had in this class and I don’t think that there will ever be a teacher who teaches me that is better than Mr Rosewall. [Chris]

This has been an Excellent year.  I think that out off all the classes I’ve been in at P.P.S, this class would have had to be the most interactive. I have improved so much in the year such as in spelling, maths and small projects ( sose ). The highlight of this class is workshop, where I built my tall ship. I’ve always had a good end of year report and this is one of them. I’m going to rate the class a green, and I’ll rate Mr Rosewall and give him a green as well.    [Logan]

I have really enjoyed this year .I have learnt a lot more and Mr Rosewall has got me prepared for high school next year. I have really enjoyed my last year at Plympton. Mr Rosewall is one of the best teachers. I think he was the perfect teacher to spend the last year at Plympton with. I think that my report is good for my last year at primary school. I have really enjoyed working with Mr Rosewall and under the Workshop system .I would give Mr Rosewall and the year a green rating .[Rebecca]

This has been a great year for everyone in Mr. R__lls class. I would give Mr. R__ll a green up for all the hard work he has done to help people in this class. Mr. R__ll has helped me and a lot of other people achieve their goals this year. I know that I will go well in High school because he has helped me & pushed me that extra bit further in my maths, I have learnt year 8 work & I am going well. I know more maths than I ever had & know that I will be in front at high school. I thank Mr. R__ll very much for all the effort & help he has put to me & other students in his class. [Lucy]

This year has been a really cool year and I think I have learnt a lot. My goal this year was to maintain my green up rating and I have accomplished it. I think this class has prepared me for high school and up coming events in my future. I would give Mr. Rosewall a green up, I would give the class a green and I would give the workshop program a green up. [Stacey]
