| The latest thing I have been playing with is Apple's Speakable Items Technology. While quite fun, it didn't actually seem very useful at first. That was until I started writing some applescript to work with Internet Explorer. Turns out that IE is quite scriptable, and as a bonus it can also execute any javascript you put in. As a result I've come up with the following commads that can be used with IE and Speakable Items.

| Microsoft Free Fridays Add this apache module to your web server, and tell all those IE users where to go. Every Friday, this little patch will deny any requests by Internet Explorer. Possibly causing the user to try a browser by another company. Gasp. Apparently drempt up by Dave Winer, this little stab at all of Bill's minions is likely to add to the confusion and dissappointment many users experience when surfing the net, considering IE makes up about 80% of the browser market, but it is a novel idea.
