Repairing Fusee Chains
Some people consider repairing fusee chains as the most difficult repair in horology, I don't agree and have
devised some ways to make this procedure easier.
This is a Fusee and Chain
I use a Jeweling press with some pushers and a stake that I made.
The first one is quite stout to start the rivet moving as can be seen in the first picture.
The second one is made from a sewing needle and is used to push the rivet through.
In the second picture you can see the tip of the needle and the rivet, and also the small hole in the center of the stake.
