Date of Birth: 4 October 1941. Town where born: Melbourne, Victoria. How did you get into racing? Through my love of racing and my desire to train winners. First Winner/Track (flat and jumper): Dollars Hope/Bendigo 1974 (jumper). Favourite Track (and why): Pakenham, making jumping history with Blue Sonic. Best thing about being a jumps trainer: Satisfaction. Worst thing about being a jumps trainer: Having to have lots of patience. Best jumper you’ve trained: Prince Lindal. What is the best jumper you would have loved to have trained: Crisp. Who is the best jumping rider you have seen? Tom McGinley. What is the best race you have witnessed? The 1986 Grand National Steeplechase as Flemington. What is your best win on the flat? Mr Lightfoot/Open Handicap at Stony Creek. Outside of racing what are you most passionate about? My family. What is your training career goals? To continue to train winners. What is the strangest (amusing or serious) experience you've ever had in racing? Racing in a hurdle race at Ballarat when it was snowing. Would you like to tell us something about your family (partner, children, parents etc.)? My husband Ron and my daughters, Shelley and Joanne have been very supportive of my dreams of being competitive and successful.
