Date of Birth: 17 August 1951. Town where born: Chelsea, Victoria. How did you get into racing? Through showjumping - from 1981 and a strong horse background.. First Winner/Track (flat and jumper): Rochelles Aloe / Moonee Valley. Favourite Track (and why): Sandown - excellent surface. Every horse as an opportunity. Best thing about being a jumps trainer: Specialised area and enjoy the excitement. Worst thing about being a jumps trainer: Losing the very occasional horse in a race fall. Best jumper you’ve trained: Palace Symphony. What is the best jumper you would have loved to have trained: Fast Food. Who is the best jumping rider you have seen? Difficult to rate. What is the best race you have witnessed? Airmond's win in the Grand National Hurdle at Flemington. What is your best win on the flat? Tasmanian Oaks. Outside of racing what are you most passionate about? Water sports. What is your training career goals? Continue at the top. What is the strangest (amusing or serious) experience you've ever had in racing? Kanihi's South Australian Grand National Hurdle win, when he was a distant 3rd at the second last and the two leaders ran off in separate incidents.
