How did you get into racing? Family

First Winner/Track: Hot Tramp / Taunton

Favourite Track (and why): Cheltenham (U.K.). Best jumping track in the world.

Best thing about being a jumps rider: All the jockeys looking after one another and the rush of riding in a race.

Worst thing about being a jumps rider: Falls.

Best jumper you’ve ridden: Kyoto and Given. Both horses were U.K. horses.

Jumper you would like to have ridden: Desert Orchid & Zongalero.

Outside of racing what are you most passionate about? My friends.

What are your riding career goals? To keep riding as long as I can and ride as many winners as I can.

What will you do after your riding career is over? Breaking horses and pre-training.

What is the strangest (amusing or serious) experience you’ve ever had in racing?

Too many to pick at as I have been doing this for a long time.

What, in life, are you most afraid of? Don’t know!

Would you like to tell us something about your family (partner, children, parents etc.)?

Father was a jumping jockey then foreman for John Dunlop for 34 years. Brother John, was also a jumping jockey now a successful trainer with flat horses and jumpers in the U.K.
