Date of Birth: 17 December 1924 Town where born: Warrnambool, Victoria. How did you get into racing? Followed Father's footsteps. First Winner/Track (flat and jumper): Llandrillo, Footscray Steeple, Flemington. Favourite Track (and why): Flemington. It gives every horse a chance. Best thing about being a jumps trainer: Thrill of training and getting a good horse.. Worst thing about being a jumps trainer: Getting a regular good horseman. Best jumper you’ve trained: Llandrillo and Zabuan (NZ) (at present). What is the best jumper you would have loved to have trained: Crisp. Who is the best jumping rider you have seen? Ron Hall and B.R. Smith. What is the best race you have witnessed? All my major victories. What is your best win on the flat? Victoria Derby, Caulfield Cup and Sydney Cup. Outside of racing what are you most passionate about? Golf. What is your training career goals? Keep winning.. What is the strangest (amusing or serious) experience you've ever had in racing? Attending the Warrnambool races as a schoolboy in 1934. My father's horse "Flavedo" fell and ran off and still won the Grand Annual Steeple. Would you like to tell us something about your family (partner, children, parents etc.)? My wife Pauline (49 years marriage), 3 boys and 4 girls (family). My father, Jerry Moloney, was a very successful trainer both flat and jumping..
