The Kadimah will hold its 100^th year celebrations from December 2011 to Dec 2012.  It is envisaged that the following functions would take place over the year.  (*Some dates may be subject to change.)

 11^th December 2011:- Kadimah Centenary celebrations will commence with a “Back to Kadimah” family afternoon, with a guided bus tour starting at the LFH in Elsternwick, then to the previous Kadimah significant sites in Bourke St., Russell St., Drummond St., and ending at the Old Carlton Kadimah at 840 Lygon St, (Eolyan Hall) with a mini-banquet and a Yiddish cabaret-theatre-revue.

 29-02-2012 to 10-03-2012:-  “Zaftik” Theatre performances of “Ek Velt” – The Story of Yiddish Theatre in Australia & Kadimah” presented by the “Zaftik” trio Evelyn Krape, Tomi Kalinski and Elisa Gray at the Phoenix Theatre in Elwood.

 *February-December 2012:– Monthly Yiddish Film Screenings of “Kadimah” and other films from over the years will commence.  Each screening would feature a short introduction by a guest speaker and afternoon tea.

 18^th March 2012: – “Kadimah” 100^th Formal Community Celebration with representatives of Federal, State and Local Governments and Jewish Community Leadership and like minded organisations.

 1^st of April 2012:- Concert “In Friendship” with popular Jewish, Classical and World Music talent.

 29^th April 2012: – The 100^th Annual General Meeting of the Jewish Cultural Centre & National Library “Kadimah” and tabling of a new Constitution to be adopted in 2013 and AGM Concert with Barry and Tomi

 *13^th May 2012:- Symposium: “Re-Invigorating the Kadimah and Yiddish Melbourne”.  A half day session for all groups and individuals working for and with Yiddish in Melbourne.  Hosted by the Kadimah and Danielle Charak OAM.

27th May 2012: Boris Sandler, Yiddish Writer and Editor of the “Yiddish Forverts” in N.Y., will give a talk on:– Avrom Karpinovitsh “Vilne, Mayn Vilne’ - "Vilnius My Vilnius".

1st - 3^rd  June 2012:- “Yiddish Sof Vokh"-  Annual "Yiddish Only Weekend”, organised by Yiddish Australia and co-sponsored by a number of organisations including “Kadimah” , with this year's special guest  Boris Sandler, Editor of the “Yiddish Forverts”.

*24^th June 2012:- “The Shtetl in Yiddish Literature”, a repeat of the popular readings and songs event, first presented at the Jewish Museum 2011 Mameloshn Exhibition.

 *8^th July 2012:- Publication and launch of the “Kadimah” 100^th anniversary edition of the “Melbourne Chronicle-Melburne Bletter” edited by Arnold Zable and Moishe Ajzenbud and in celebration of Kadimah’s 100 years of publishing history.

 *22^nd July 2012 to 26^th August 2012: – Theatrical and Concert performances with guest overseas actor/director Rafael Goldwaser (“Luft Teater” Strasbourg) and film maker Mariette Feltin and local talent, including MY(Y)T and “Chai”Society Youth; etc..

 2^nd September 2012: – Launch of “Kadimah” - Dafner Family - Yiddish Audio-Visual and Radio Collection and New Website, with families of Yasha Sher, Pinie Ringelblum, Danielle Charak, Rene Zufi, Chana Mrocki, Moishe Ajzenbud, Michael & Bobbi Zylberman and Alex Dafner, invited.  A special afternoon, where archival audio/radio presentations will be heard and each family will be presented with a CD collection and entertained by a “Lebedike - Live Radio” concert.

 14^th October 2012:- Launch of “Kadimah” Digitalised Archival Data base of newspaper and other articles, cuttings and documents.

 *18^th November 2012:- Launch of "Kadimah" Yiddish Collection at the "Lamm National Jewish Library of Australia"

 *2^nd December 2012:- Closing Celebration Concert, featuring the best acts of the 2011-2012 “Kadimah” Centenary Year, from “Ek Velt”, “In Friendship Concert”, etc.
