1. Place a round piece of craftwood between the top of your drum and the carry bag. This will provide extra protection to the skin when transporting.
2. Remove all rings when playing the drum.
3. If you should need to remove the drum head, place a small mark on the head and a small mark on the body of the drum so that when placing back together, you need only line up the marks. Do the same with the skin.
4. Your tabla is not a mini table. Don't let yourself fall into the habit of leaving items resting on it.
