After owning & loving Maltese for 9 years as pets, I remember David always saying that when he was a

 young boy his mum had these wonderful dogs called "Chow Chows". 

 He often said we should get a Real Dog!!  So I decided to find out more....

After a lot of study I realized that some Chows were known to be aloof and wary of strangers, 

also having a  great natural guarding instinct. This did tend to make me a little cautious about having

 a Chow Chow join our family as the Maltese were very accepting of  everyone. 

 Prior to our 7th Wedding Anniversary in 1995 I decided to surprise David by getting our first Chow Chow puppy,

Kato.  A sweet Red Male from Rockelly Kennels.

I must admit I wondered what I was getting myself into! To my great surprise I was hooked on the breed.

I fell in love too and we just had to have a black female join the "Simpson Family" her name was Bubby.

The Maltese slowly become our 2nd breed as our love for the Chows and showing them grew stronger and

stronger every day. We now no longer have the Maltese after placing our last girl with a neighbour

before moving to acreage where we set up Kennels for our Chow Chows.

We are now located in the Western Suburbs of Sydney in Australia, situated on a 1 acre country

property that our Chow Chows are happy to share with us!!

All our Chows are spoilt and treated as family members first and foremost. They are kept in Air-conditioned

runs indoors during the summer months, and have a lovely half acre area where they run and play complete with

a dam for those who enjoy swimming.

Our desire for Showing started almost immediately! We wanted the world to see what a wonderful

breed the Chow Chow was. Like most breeders, we started with 2 very ordinary Chow Chows and progressively

learnt to choose more carefully and to do our homework..

Our 3rd black bitch (Storm) joined the family and she had what it took!

Hooray!!!   We finally got it right...

  Whilst holidaying in New Zealand we were lucky to have met with Ross & Lynne Simms of Simchow Kennels..

They took us under their wing and taught us the importance of careful planned breeding from good quality,

  sound, Hip Scored lines. They soon blessed us with this stunning black bundle of fur.

She is a Grand Daughter of Am & Can Ch. Bai-lees Gold Quest. Storm is  from Top Quality American Lines

 from  Hip Scored backgrounds and she has been the foundation of our Breeding Program.

She has since gone on to produce 6 Australian Champions for us!

Sadly Storm passed away at aged 8 in 2004 leaving a huge ache in our hearts that will last forever...

She was the most precious Chow anyone could could possible ask for.. To us there will be no other like her,

she was everything and more. Storm has left us with some wonderful progeny to continue on with who

 we are confident will carry on her gorgeous "black type" that we are so successful with and well known for today!

We have since continued on very successfully and have titled and shown over 24 Australian Champions in

 only 8 years of Breeding & Showing. 21 of these  are our own Home Bred Champions!

Many other's have been placed in Show homes where their wonderful owners campaigned them to gain their 

Australian Champion Title.

Our Chows have numerous winnings to their credit from Best of Breed at The Sydney Royal, Best Classes in Show,

right through to Best Exhibit In Show at Chow Chow Club Specialty Shows!
