About Hypnosis

What is hypnosis

Basically it is a normal, natural and pleasant state of mind. One that we all slip into and out of just before we awake or just before going to sleep. We often experience it without realizing, such as when daydreaming or when driving and we do not remember a particular portion or the journey. We are half awake or half asleep. But our conscious mind would immediately snap us back to full awareness should circumstances require. Another example is when we are deep in thought and we suddenly realize that we are actually speaking the words we are thinking. Yet another is when we are fully concentrating when reading a book and nothing can disturb us.

Hypnosis is as safe and simple as your therapist speaking to you whilst you are in a very relaxed state. Their words will soothe and relax you and at the same time melt away those blockages that have been holding back in order that new positive thoughts will assist you to "move-on"

from whatever has been restricting you.

SAFE      -    SIMPLE     -     NATURAL

NO PAIN  - NO NEEDLES - NO DRUGS

 AND   NO  SIDE EFFECTS.

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness NOT unconsciousness where the body completely relaxes.

It is a state that everyone can experience and enjoy because it is gentle, non-invasive and drug-free.

So what does it feel like

Sensations will vary from person to person. It is usual to experience mild drowsiness and pleasant feelings of comfort and well-being. You will be totally relaxed but conscious and able to hear the Hypno therapist’s voice. The body is relaxed but the mind remains focused. Much like being in a dream yet fully aware of what is being said.

How does it work

The sub-conscious mind remembers everything you have ever done or experienced, from your youngest moments right up to the present day. It contributes to all your thoughts and decisions based upon those past experiences Sometimes those memories can become distorted and cause us problems. That’s when our old friend, our sub-conscious mind helps us, by accessing specific or stored memories we change for the better how you think and act in certain circumstances in the future. The change is always beneficial and increases feelings of well-being. By eliminating the negative thought patterns and habits our sub-conscious mind is no longer our enemy, but instead becomes our most loving friend.

Hypnosis makes the unconscious mind give our conscious behavior, new instructions and a different perspective to overcome our personal problems.
